Yen Bai
Province is located in the North West of Viet Nam, it's about 200 km far
from the capital city (Hanoi), the northern part of the country. It is
bordered by on the north by Ha Giang, the south by Son La, on the
northeast by Tuyen Quang, on the southeast by Phu Tho and the northwest
by Lao Cai. There are many natural beauty sights in Yen Bai such as: Mu

Bao Yen
is a land rich of traditions of fighting to build and protect the
country. That tradition is closely attached to the place names of Nghi
Lang ancient citadel, Bao Ha temple and Pho Rang station. These places
have become cultural historical monuments and tourist attraction.
Nghi Lang
ancient citadel was built around early 16th century and a political and
economic centre of the entire Chay river region at that time. Nghi Lang
ancient citadel connects closely to the glorious struggle of the Bau
lords (Vu Van Uyen, Vu Van Mat and descendants) against Mac dynasty to
protect the country. At present, many valuable and historical objects
are discovered in the area of Nghi Lang ancient citadel.
Lao Cai
is famous of ecological and sightseeing tours or traditional ethnicities
or historical discovery tours but Pho Rang station is always a starting
point of all. Stopping in Pho Rang, do not forget to visit Pho Rang
station located on a hill where a joining point of ngoi Rang and Chay
River is. Monument of Rang city station has gone into history with a
resounding victory of Phu Thong battalion (Battalion 11), breaking an
important channel of the French colonialists' defense line of Nghia lo -
Bao Ha - Pho Rang - Nghia Do - Yen Binh that menaces the Viet Bac
military base. Pho Rang victory is a good lesson and education for the
patriotism of succeeding generations.
Bao Ha
temple - a national - level cultural vestige is a famous religious
cultural site nation - wide. It was built at the foot of Cam hill, by
the Hong River in a part of Bao Yen commune. The temple area has very
beautiful natural scenery.
Bao Ha
temple worships the god of defense Hoang Bay, a famous general under Ly
dynasty, who had made great contribution in expelling enemies,
protecting the country, reclaiming land and defending the country's
border areas. He also died in his land. He had been ever granted his 4
words "Tran An Hien Liet" and conferred a title of the God of defense by
the Nguyen King. From the South to the North, whoever come to Lao Cai
can not forget to visit Hoang Bay temple, burn incense sticks to
commemorate a famous general having great contributions to the Dai Viet
country.
