Đien Bien
Phu a is mountainous province in the Northwest of Viet Nam, it's about
474 km from Ha Noi. To Dien Bien you will have chance to know well about
people, culture and history.
The
Battle of Dien Bien Phu was the climactic confrontation of French Corps
and Viet Minh communist revolutionaries. The battle occurred between
March and May 1954 and culminated in a comprehensive French defeat.
Dien Bien
Phu now still keep few historic scars to bear witness to its horrendous
past, though it is still one of the remote areas you could visit. The
hill-tribes living around the area of Dien Bien Phu make up 70% of the
regions population, and the ethnic minority groups include the Black
Thai, Nung, Meo, Loa and others.
